High school history teacher Burt Ross, known for his innovative teaching methods, decides to show his students what it was like to be under group pressure. He starts a movement in his class stressing discipline and solidarity, and before he knows it, 'The Wave' becomes a cult that sweeps through the entire school--and trying to control it as well.
