Originally released as a motion picture in 1957.

Quatermass 2 (retitled Enemy From Space for the U.S.) was the first movie sequel to use numeric designation. In the original BBC serial, "2" also referred to Quatermass' unstable atomic rocket, his second attempt to conquer space. Sequel to Hammer's first world-wide hit "The Quatermass Experiment" (The Creeping Unknown in the U.S.).
