Description
In May, 1945 two teenagers contemplated carrying out a plot to blow up the Tule Lake Relocation Center, in California. At its peak there were nearly nineteen thousand people of Japanese descent being held there by the American government. Stone lays the global groundwork for the event, before zeroing in on the lives of the people involved. She provides an intimate look at how their changing perspectives affected their actions.
