Description
The present documentary includes an exploration of the Third Reich's heroic ideal and examines the way in which Wagner's characters were portrayed onstage at this time, while also seeking answers to questions about Lorenz's career and addressing the complications caused by his private life. The film features archival footage from a period of four decades as well as eyewitness accounts from numerous colleagues and other contemporaries.
