Description
This DVD uniquely presents Maestro Seiji Ozawa conducting two great choral masterpieces beloved by audiences and singers the world over. Carl Orff's Carmina Burana, by turns boisterous and lyrical, sets ribald medieval songs in a celebration of life's pleasures. Ludwig van Beethoven's monumental Ninth Symphony, the "Choral", famously concludes with the uplifting "Ode to Joy," a timeless plea for universal brotherhood.
